Institutional spelling bee
2018-2022

DAP Institutional Spelling has been held in the first semester of each year. Students from third to eleventh grades participated in this competition in three categories: Primary, Secondary A and B. The contestants were asked to spell a broad selection of words, usually with a varying degree of difficulty according to their category and three judges assessed if the words were spelled correctly. The purpose of this competition is to help students improve their spelling, increase their vocabulary, learn concepts and develop correct English usage that will help them all their lives.

The locality Spelling Bee

2018-2019

The locality spelling bee is the second step of the District competition. In this stage the winners of each category of all the schools located in Bosa compete. From all schools only three spellers go to stand for the whole locality and schools. In 2018, the Distric University hosted the event. Jhysel Natalia Suarez, from 503 grade, won the competition. Last year, The school Jorge Isaacs hosted the event and happily we were the winners once again. Sara Parra Medina from 502 represented our school with an amazing performance. Both of them advanced to District Spelling Bee.

This is the final stage of each year competition. In this Contest spellers who have won in their schools and have also won in their locality spelling bee stand for each locality in the District Spelling Bee. In both competitions our school has had an amzing performance thanks to the committment of teachers, students and parents. Our spellers have been finalists among great spellers from all schools in Bogotá.
