Advanced English Club

The District Bilingual Plan designed the Advanced English Club, Immersion Room, a strategy that aims to the strengthening of the English teaching and learning process, therefore this is a space that favors the interaction between the teacher and the students which allows to improve the pedagogical processes and the development of communicative competences in the pupils.

The focus of this program is to facilitate the interaction in the target language in real contexts providing a constant practice of the language, also it emphasizes a collaborative work where students carry out different activities.

The students who take part of this group are selected bearing in mind, their English performance and their attitude guaranteeing a place to those students who like English and are willing to expand their English knowledge to reach an outstanding performance in all the communicative skills. (These lessons are planned taking into account the syllabus provided by the secretary of Education.)

At our school, Débora Arango Pérez, the program started in March 2022 with students from 3rd grade to 11th grade who attend in their opposite shift.
