BEMNET (Bilingual Education Model Net)

Bemnet  is the net created by the bilingual leaders from 16 public schools located in Bogota that have a Bilingual Education Model. This net was created 2 years ago during the training: “English Language Teaching Management offered by the SED  and the British Council. This training of three years was directed to all Bilingual leaders, academic coordinators and principals of MEB schools aim to provide schools with tools to lead and manage bilingual programs, an d to develop collaborative strategies among schools.

The objective of this net is to generate a strong connection among MEB schools that allows us to share experiences, resources and strategies developed and implemented in MEB schools in order to strenghthen Bilingual programs in these institutions and all schools that want to start a bilingual program, as well as inspire the Local, District and National Education Community towards a bilingual public education with high standards of quality.

BEMNET works under the following principles: Collaboration, Commitment, Responsibility, Honesty, Teamwork, Effective Communication and Creativity.

BEMNET  was launched in the 21st Century Skills and the District Second Language Plan Forum held on October 30th, 2019.
